From mountains to sea, North Carolina offers a wealth of environmental beauty and natural resources. However, continuously changing urban landscapes and the effects of natural and human-influenced disasters put parts of this environment at risk.

This multimedia project was created by a group of students at the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Media and Journalism to document issues in NC’s environment, and also to show the efforts of citizens and scientists to contribute to solutions. These NC residents are determined to speak out and act against these larger environmental concerns.
